The press release announcing the launch of the show follows…
Industry Leaders to Debate IP Convergence and its Impact on IT Infrastructure at IP’07, 16-17 October, Earls Court, London
Major announcements expected at this year’s two-day IP’07 Event
IP’07, the only event of its kind to focus exclusively upon the potential of Internet Protocol (IP) networks for enterprise users, returns to Earls Court next month.
Following its hugely successful debut last year, the 2007 show promises to be bigger and better as the topic of converged voice and data networks rises further up the corporate agenda.
With senior representation from companies such as Microsoft, BT, Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco, Nokia, Symantec, Thus, Shortel, Siemens and Panduit, this year’s show promises to set the agenda in this exciting industry.
The event is split into three separate areas and incorporates an exhibition, conference and over 80 educational seminars covering the major elements of converged IP.
Key topics being discussed include: IP communications applications; integrating wired and wireless networks; VoIP security; and next-generation data centres.
Adam Malik, Commercial Director, Imago Communications, commented: “IP is undoubtedly one of the hottest topics in enterprise IT at the moment, as more and more companies realise the benefits convergence can bring.
“Those benefits are fairly well-known now – even if there’s no consensus about the best way of achieving them. What IP’07 will do is shed light on the differing approaches being taken by the vendors and give delegates a real insight into the technical aspects of implementing an IP-based network.”
Clive Longbottom, Service Director, Business Process Analysis, Quocirca Ltd, commented: “Suppliers from every corner of the IT and telecoms industries are descending upon the IP market. Whether their heritage is in hardware, software or networking, whether they are an established vendor or a Silicon Valley start-up, everyone thinks they can ease IT directors’ most pressing concerns. There’s a lot of snake oil and smoke and mirrors, and we’re looking forward to some robust debate at IP’07.”
